So far out of reach they're close again

Once upon a time...

You know those brands we dream about? the ones we will probably never be able to afford(unless we are SJP or co.) the ones we just google to get our mouthes watering? Well when I say Marchesa I think we all have the same reaction right? Heart beat speeding up, hands moistening, fingers twitching and mind flaring to see what you would look like in one of those dresses. Sounds familiar? The sites we all stalk the most, the stores we almost get heart attacks when we walk past, the only criminal action we could ever imagine doing stealing one of those gowns.....

Well, before I get criminal I should probably better move  on. But seriously how many of you have tried on of these on and felt the material clutch your skin, like it would never let you go, feel it cascade down your back and transform you into cinderella, giving you more support than any man ever could. It's not the price or name that makes these dresses special (that's just what makes them out of reach) it's the fact that they make us feel so special and according to every women's magazine thats what everyone needs. Forget alcohol, shoes or credit cars, unless they have a large overdraft for one of these dresses nothing will ver make you as happy right? 




I wonder though all these celebrities who were them day by day do they even still appreciate it? I mean they say it themselves they aren't ever allowed to wear a dress twice, so do they sit in their large walk in closets on a free day and try each of them one, dancing around the room or are they cool for that? Hanging each dress away after one event to never look at them again? Do dresses lose their worth when we can have them in any variety? I hope not. They won't for me ever. I will always love and stare at sales windows dreaming of wearing one.

Swagger Jagger

So these are my favorite leggins of ALL TIMES!!! I used to always wear them in summer with bare legs, but recently I then wanted to wear them so bad so I just pulled on a pair of hot pink leggins underneath. Which I have to say looked super awesome. While people did look at me with that look of "Oh god another one of those emos" but I was delighted. Puts a new thing on the animal thing doesn't it? While I have to admit nothing is more pathetic than 'wannabe hipster' or punk or whatever with they're much too cool language and 'f*ck you all' facial expression, but I love a little punk in my outfit. While it looks especially weird when I walk through a rich neighbourghood in my punkish style, I still loving the feeling of rebellion. I used to always be the good girl, who did her homework and was polite and never mean, so my way to rebel was clothes. All black, short, high heels an neon.




The thing I'm still proud of (This is where the dejavu music would start in movies)...
When I was 13 my best friend of childhood decided to mess with me and went hard-core bitchy. After that she was my ex-best friend and yet cheecky enough to invite me to this church thingy, some christening thing. I didn't want to go but my mom forced me so I put on the most outrageous thing possible. I pulled on a tutu dress, leather jacket and stilettos and paired it with smoky eyes and red lipstick. It looked I have to say awesome. Everyone of course stared at me as if I was some kind of alien but I loved it. Her boyfriend spent all afternoon flirting with me and I just enjoyed my sweet revenge. Good times :) So always remember forget drugs and stuff. Fashion is the most daring way to break rules!

top= totally awesome power

The thing which fills of my closet the most is shirts. I can never bear to throw one away because each has it's own story. The only thing I can bear is making my credit card burn when buying new awesome shirts. I discovered this brand in Florence and a few months later they also had them at home, however for double the price. As previously mentioned I have this obssesion about funny sayings and these shirt are funny, trendy and just sooo cool! The chanel one is one of my faves :)

I feel the industry knows how prone women are to buy when they see a funny shirt, almost like shoes except that you can wear shirts with all weather. Also I love the fashion statement they're making, not everything has to be expensive to be cool and that our so called 'it-girls' are way over rated. Nice to see someone who doesn't take himself or others too seriously ;)

My and my clinging

According to the fact that it's now finally spring I can now finally wear (well more or less) what I want. To however not freeze to death I still wear some winter accessories combined with spring stuff. In this case I finally get to wear my Diane von Fürstenberg heels, which definetly did NOT work in the ice(ever tried walking on ice in wooden heels?!) and my favortie mini-skirt and my much loved leather jacket. I missed my leather jacket soso much! It's basically one of the few things I wear for 3 seasons straight (4 technically but in winter I put another jacket on top).

You know those items you just can bear to put away when a season has ended so you just keep wearing them? My Doc Martens for example, I wear them with shorts, dresses to work, clubbing and to walk the dog. I literally live on them. Or my blazer, whether under a winter jacket or just with a cute crop top. It's a classic and can be styled any way to fit any season. I think we need those basics to get us through the bad days. It's those items we wear on good and bad days and we just always have the comfort of wearing our little good luck charm. My shorts are also something I hate putting away so I usually just pair them with tights and stockings in winter but it's still always the best feeling when I pull them on without any tights for the first time. That fresh breeze around your legs and the comfort of being able to stretch without pants restraining you..... Can't wait for that day ;)

Feels like the 4th of July

What is different? Slowly I open one eye and roll over on my side trying to figure out what has happened. I calmp my eye shut again, bright! I wiggle my toes in a unknown substance, desperately trying to guess what it is. After cautiously opening my eyes for the second time I see what it is: Sunlight! I stare out the window wondering if this means the world is ending or a meteriot is about to hit earth, but no all clear with a blue, blue sky. The sound I couldn't interpret at first are actually birds. There seem to be a few who survived the drastic cold which only just failed to wipe out the whole of humanity. Still in my PJ shorts and shirt I stumble into the bathroom and open the door to the balcony. When I step out my body already braces for the icy cold about to hit me. I squeeze my eyes shut and tense all my muscles to brace my body for the freezing artic temperatures. But I don't turn into ice. Winter seems to finally be over. It is offically spring!!!




I slip into my favorite cowboy boots and blue jeans and make my way outside. My dog is prancing around the GREEN grass, dumbstruck where all the snow went and I still can't believe how warm it is. Ok, I have to admit I'm going drastically overboards here. It's still no where near warm but after the icy cold the 7°C now feel like a desert climate. Oh glory, I can't even tell you how happy I am that my favorite season has begun. Guys? It's officially spring time!!!

WHO cares?

Recently I have come across the greatest mood buster ever (after shopping, but hey at least this is free) it's name is: someecards! If you are feeling down or are so over what people think send them this and they will get the picture. The good thing about fashion is that when you feel bad you can just go buy something and you never ever run out of cool stuff to buy (admit it after some time you just can't see chocolate anymore, takes a lot of heartbreaks but eventually it does happen. Plus fashion doesn't get you to gain weight) 

So now what to do when your broke? When you don't have the money to buy a outfit that will make your boyfriend regret dupming you, or a pair of shoes against problems at the job, a handbag becuase you fought with your friend or sunglasses when you have a headache. You read messages and funny slogans! They are everywhere and fit  to every situation possible. Best sources I would say are tumblr, facebook and someecards, but look for yourself and otherwise the good old google will always do the trick. Even better than putting it on your desktop is using them. Print or draw them on shirt, converse and jeans. Make phone or laptop covers out of them. Write them on the back of your car or stick them all over your room. Live those sayings because life is too short to live with problems ;)
